Lion Lava Print

$42.00

This is the first piece in a triptych of animal mouth subjects. I found the anatomy of open animal mouths fascinating and wanted to transform them by isolating them and placing them in a strange textural context. In this case, we have a lion's mouth surrounded by pouring lava, which becomes a cave-like aperture when isolated from the animal's face—transforming this anatomical study into an abstract textural piece.

Archival Giclée print of original charcoal drawing. Made on 260 GSM Canon Semi-Gloss Photo Paper using high-quality pigment inks. Borderless image.

11” x 14”

Hand-signed by the artist, unframed. As with any indoor artwork, avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Reproductions may not be made without permission.

Artwork ships flat. Please allow 14 business days to receive.
