Turtle Bubbles - Print

Artwork Backstory:

This is the third piece in a triptych of animal mouth subjects. I found the anatomy of open animal mouths fascinating and wanted to transform them by isolating them and placing them in a strange textural context. In this case, we have a leatherback turtle's mouth surrounded by bubbles, which becomes a strange isolated aperture when isolated from the animal's face—transforming this anatomical study into an abstract textural piece.
