Cliff Gaze
This piece is one of my first experiments with charcoal, where I was exploring how to control its messy nature and create evocative atmosphere. It was very satisfying to create emotion in a piece with limited gestures, and achieve a sense of foggy altitude with the charcoal.
Charcoal on acid-free 400 series Strathmore bristol paper, 2013. Sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging. Hand-signed by the artist, unframed. Framing available for an additional fee, message the artist to discuss. As with any indoor artwork, avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Reproductions may not be made without permission.
