About This Offer
These are high quality cardstock prints. Each piece is a certified reproduction of my original paintings.
These paintings are all from my Outer Depths Collection, which showcases the overlooked beauty one can discover in the spaces dominated by major landmarks. The compositions are based on reference gathered while meandering through tucked away Parisian streets and the solitary back edges of the Versailles gardens.
To emphasize the timelessness and nostalgia of these scenes, I added layers that mimic the hazy effects created by water-damaged film photography.
These original artworks were done with a mixed media technique combining graphite, watercolor, gouache and pastel on textured watercolor paper. Each piece took me over 100 hours to complete, from the initial Photoshop brainstorming all the way to signing the finished paintings!

About Me - The Artist
Sam is an artist and set designer living in Los Angeles, California. He graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in Visual Art from Harvard University, and later in 2018 got an M.F.A. in Production Design at the AFI Conservatory.
He has sold prints of his artwork to hundreds of customers at local flea markets and online through his web store, and his original work is in private collections around the country. He has contributed set design drawings to TV & Film productions for HBO Max, Apple TV+, Prime Video, and A24.
He creates art primarily by painting with watercolor and drawing with charcoal, but also likes to experiment with other mediums. He enjoys crafting emotional images that are both highly detailed yet filled with atmosphere.
In his free time, Sam enjoys rock climbing, attending concerts, and exploring the foodie scene around LA with his wife.
