I found the anatomy of open animal mouths fascinating and wanted to transform them by isolating them and placing them in a strange textural context. In this case, we have a hippo's mouth surrounded by sea foam, which becomes a strange isolated aperture when isolated from the animal's face—transforming this anatomical study into an abstract textural piece.

Artwork Details:

Print size: 8x10", 11x14"

Edition Details:

Open Edition print of original charcoal drawing made in 2016

Giclée print made on 260 GSM Canon Semi-Gloss Photo Paper

Printed using 12 archival pigment inks for exceptional colour depth and longevity

Item ships from Los Angeles, CA anywhere in the US.

Purchases are non-refundable, except in the case of damage upon arrival.
